Miami-Dade County offers a wide range of services designed to support older adults in maintaining independence, health, and quality of life. Through its Elder Affairs programs, seniors can access home-delivered meals, transportation assistance, caregiver support, and in-home care services. These programs help reduce isolation and ensure that older residents can safely remain in their homes for as long as possible.
In addition to daily living support, the department provides case management, benefits counseling, and referrals for medical, legal, and housing assistance. Senior centers throughout the county offer recreational activities, educational workshops, fitness classes, and social engagement opportunities that promote active aging and community connection.
Residents aged 60 and older, as well as caregivers seeking support resources, are encouraged to contact the department for eligibility information and enrollment assistance.
