Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami provides mentorship programs designed to guide youth toward academic success, positive decision-making, and career readiness. The organization matches young people with trained adult mentors who offer consistent support, encouragement, and role modeling. These relationships help students build confidence, improve communication skills, and set long-term goals.
Programs include school-based mentoring, community-based mentoring, and college readiness initiatives. Youth participants benefit from one-on-one guidance, exposure to career opportunities, and structured enrichment activities. The organization also partners with local schools and businesses to expand opportunities for leadership development and scholarship access
We have many different leaders that will be able to give your child accurate advice that will help them improve themselves as a person. They can range from highschoolers all the way up into adulthood depending on the situation your child may need assistance in. We believe no issue is too small and whether the event you're going through is life altering and devastating or is simply struggling to keep up with your homework assignments on time we have a mentor for you. Anyone, no matter how resilient, can benefit from a mentor that has more experience.
Community members can get involved by volunteering as mentors, donating resources, or partnering with the organization to host events. Applications for both mentors and youth participants are available year-round.
