Senior and Veteran Family
Gardens have a deep respect for its elders as they were the ones who helped build the community we have today. If you are an elderly person or a family member of an elderly individual, we have tons of different services and resources we can provide you with. First and foremost are our retirement funds. If you are over the age of 60, you can qualify for retirement funds and live off a stable income as a token of gratitude for your service. Secondly, gardens have a large sum of retirement homes that provide residents with a sense of community as well as well-trained caretakers and stable shelters. At these retirement homes elderly people engage in fun activities such as playing bingo or pool and are well taken care of. Our elderly residents can also be provided with medical services and be given things such as glasses, wheelchairs, and canes free of charge.
With the recent rise in technology our elderly residents have unfortunately fallen victim to many scams via social media. Due to this our community thought it was necessary to hold scam prevention workshops as well as technology education classes to protect our vulnerable residents. Too many elderly individuals have been taken advantage of by scammers and hackers, and we make it a priority in the gardens to prevent this. Our technology and scam prevention workshops and classes are completely free to attend, and we aim to educate our senior citizens about the dangers of social media and how to protect themselves from scammers.
If you are a veteran, we greatly commend you for your service and have a multitude of resources and honors, we can offer you. In almost any store or restaurant you can use your veterans discount card to obtain at least a 15% discount on any item and even receive certain privileges or free gifts. We also hold many events throughout the year to thank you for your service to our nation. Lastly, there are many specific financial aid programs dedicated to assisting veterans and their families. Our veterans are the pillars of our community, and we value them greatly!
