United Way of Miami-Dade works to strengthen the community by connecting residents with essential resources such as financial literacy programs, housing assistance referrals, and workforce development services. The organization collaborates with local nonprofits to provide access to job training, emergency assistance, and educational support initiatives.

Through its 211 Helpline, residents can receive confidential referrals for food assistance, mental health support, employment services, and disaster relief programs. United Way also invests in youth education programs and community improvement projects to address long-term needs.

Here at gardens all our residents should feel supported by members of their own community. This is why we highly value community service and believe everyone should play their part to ensure we maintain this high level of closeness our little community has established all these years. We also highly encourage children and teens to volunteer to learn the value of hard work and the struggles others face in the real world. We can provide community service forms and hour logs if your school requires a certain number of community service. We don't have a specific age requirement for volunteers we accept as long as they are able to physically do the labor without risk or harm. However, we can offer some accommodations by giving simpler and less rigorous tasks to physically incapable or younger volunteers. We will adapt to you and your needs!

Individuals seeking help or looking to volunteer can contact the organization directly or call the 211 helpline for immediate guidance.
