Miami-Dade Fire Rescue provides critical emergency response services including fire suppression, emergency medical services (EMS), technical rescue operations, and disaster response coordination. The department operates multiple fire stations throughout the county, ensuring rapid response to emergencies such as house fires, medical crises, vehicle accidents, and severe weather incidents.
In addition to emergency response, the department offers community safety education programs. These include CPR certification classes, fire prevention workshops, hurricane preparedness guidance, and smoke alarm installation assistance. Residents are encouraged to create emergency plans, prepare disaster supply kits, and stay informed during hurricane season.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue also works closely with local schools and businesses to conduct safety drills and preparedness training. Community members can request public education presentations or safety inspections through the department’s outreach division.
